SA Baxter Breaks the Mold
In just two years the high-end architectural design company SA Baxter has become the leading company of its kind in the world and is being sought out by the world’s top designers and architects. Its exquisite products are often called Architectural Jewels.

SA Baxter has rocked the staid architectural hardware industry with its old-world craftsmanship coupled with new-age technology. It is the only company that enables people to customize virtually any design in a vast array of finishes and alloys. Using precision jewelry-industry processes, SA Baxter manufactures hardware of exquisite complexity and finishes to adorn the doors and windows of luxury homes, chic hotels and upscale retailers. It is also the only company in the industry that is Eco Friendly; all of its products are entirely lead free and produced out of its own foundry and atelier.

The company is thriving both domestically and internationally with orders coming in from the U.S. and around the world including Europe, China, Russia, India, South America and the Middle East, even as much of the luxury market in today’s economy is faltering. Their architectural hardware is installed in homes all over the world, and has become the "high end" hardware of choice for super yachts.

And now, announced in December 2008, SA Baxter’s new series of architectural jewels – the intricate Nita suite – has garnered Interior Design’s “Best of Year Product Design Award.” Interior Design’s preeminent design competition recognizes superior interior design products and projects. Finalists and winners are selected by a jury of leading architects and designers.

By marrying techniques that date back to the ancient Egyptians with technology that became available only recently, SA Baxter is changing the landscape of the custom and semi-custom architectural hardware industry. Utilizing advances in computer aided modeling, prototyping and manufacturing, The company’s ground-breaking approach allows the company to create a design and prototype within days for its client, and to custom design to client specifications. However it has not lost touch with the “artist hand” in that many of its designs start out and hand sculpted pieces of art.

What’s more, SA Baxter can do it entirely “in-house,” in the U.S. From handles to hinges, from levers to latches, the company offers the deepest palette of patterns, metals and finishes in the business and delivers the highest quality, custom-designed pieces for the upscale residential and luxury commercial markets. All of the production takes place "in-house," in an eco-friendly state-of-the-art foundry in Chester, New York. Making businesses greener while ensuring their economic health is certainly a growing priority. Often though of as a “dirty” process, SA Baxters Process emit less carbon at full production over an entire year than a fraction of the avg small call.   In addition it has a Zero Discharge of any solid waste into the local waste water system in that its plating process are all closed looped.
