Perched above two of the most magnificent beaches in the world, The Cove Atlantis on Paradise Island, Bahamas sits on a peninsula surrounded by lush landscaping, fresh water pools filled with lilies, colorful fish and waterfalls. The 600-room resort features oversized suites with a step down living space featuring panoramic ocean views complete with private terrace, spectacular designs by acclaimed interior architects Jeffrey Beers and David Rockwell, spectacular cuisine at Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill – the first outside the United States, unprecedented services and amenities, Cain at The Cove - a private all-adult poolscape with lavish cabanas – not to mention you have all of Atlantis, Paradise Island at your finger tips boasting a 141-acre waterscape and the largest open-air marine habitat in the world!
From the moment a guest steps out onto the circular porte-cochere at The Cove, they are transported by the commanding views of the ocean and beyond. The Cove Reception and the Crescent Lounge (VIP guest reception) both feature an even more opulent use of materials with mosaic floor tiles, mother of pearl and rosewood counters and walls of delicate bamboo. The materials, the furniture, the interior architecture and the special layout of all public areas were custom-designed exclusively for The Cove.
All the oversized suites within the resort, range from over 650 square feet to over 4,000 square feet, feature an understated contemporary décor of earth tones and light wood paneling to enhance the panoramic views of the ocean from each floor-to-ceiling window and terrace. Each room features two plasma-screen televisions, a BOSE 3-2-1 entertainment system, wireless internet and a custom in-room bar. The bathroom environment is decadent with marble floors, granite vanities, deep soaking tubs, and glass-bricked rain showers.
Cain at The Cove, the privileged access adult-only pool area (not open to those under 18 years of age) with 20 private cabanas, is an amenity offered exclusively to guests of The Cove. The space, which overlooks the ocean and continues onto Cove Beach, was conceived to offer a socially igniting experience along with an open-air gaming pavilion that houses 6 black-jack and 1 mini-craps table.
The centerpiece of Cain at The Cove is a 9,000 square foot main pool flanked by three smaller pool environments perched above at elevations of 2-3 feet so guests can choose from a variety of settings. The main pool, purposefully shallow to encourage lounging and socializing, is a large rectangle surrounded by chaise lounges and day beds. A cluster of persimmon daybeds surrounding a water cube sit in the center of the pool, available for those who want to enjoy a 360 degree view of this unique social scene.
Along the outer perimeter of the ultra-pool area are 20 private cabanas, each opening directly onto the beach. Reached by private, meandering and lushly landscaped walkways from the pool, these teak wood louvered villas can be opened completely on all three sides.
The cabana interior features a “living area” with space for lounging on sofas and pillows, a flat-screen television, DVD player, Bose 3-2-1 entertainment system and cool porcelain flooring which mimics the look of a light-beige tumbled stone. The cabana butler is on hand to serve drinks, meals or snacks throughout the day and evening. An indoor glass-tiled bathroom features a barrel-shaped stove pedestal sink and a full-height mirror with accent down-lighting.
The cabanas are anchored by twin patios on opposite sides – one facing the ocean and the other facing the pool area. The beach-side patio, covered by a louvered, teak pergola to give some shading, features a day bed and outdoor shower with teak screens for privacy.
Award-winning chef, television personality, cookbook author and restaurateur Bobby Flay brings his vibrant Southwestern cuisine to The Cove with the opening of Mesa Grill, his first restaurant outside the United States.
Renowned architect David Rockwell captures the essence of Mesa Grill and translates that to an ambiance perfectly at home on Paradise Island – vibrant primary colors, Southwestern motifs including an auburn and white cow print for dining chairs in luscious leather. The restaurant features vistas directly onto the beach and Atlantic Ocean. The bar features a terrazzo and sea shell counter with backlit glass and embedded goatskin, flanked by columns of river rock.
The dining experience continues with Mosaic, a fresh concept in custom-made cuisine, with this Mediterranean-influenced restaurant featuring action cooking stations to prepare dishes on demand, from fresh fish to churrasco. This restaurant changes from day to evening utilizing lighting to play off the polished chrome, wenge wood and limestone.
Sea Glass offers sunset views overlooking Paradise Beach abound at this lounge space located off of The Cove lobby. Terraces that appear to float over the lush environment provide the perfect location for a cocktail or bite to eat.
Guests of The Cove have access to all amenities at Atlantis including Aquaventure, Dolphin Cay, Mandara Spa, Aura nightclub and the largest and most exciting casino in the Caribbean with 1,000 machines and 100 table games for play 24 hours a day.
